So I got my first tooth a couple weeks ago. Pretty impressive, huh? One day I'm all gums and the next day I'm perfectly capable of chewing something...something really small...and soft enough that one tooth can get the job done...one tooth that's not really fully out yet. Still, we're all very excited (oh admit it, you're excited too). And I remember seeing mom and dad do this thing with a brush trying to keep their mouths clean; it seemed a little odd at the time, but I figured I've joined the club now. The way I see it, I'm way better at oral hygiene than they are. I mean, it's pretty impossible to miss teeth when there's only one.
